Young Toddlers (1 Year Olds)

We are still working on school and class routines. Every day starts with singing the bumblebee song. We´ll also play some games related to numbers. This week I will introduce the colour orange.

Song:

Oh Bumblebee, Oh Bumblebee

Who do I see now?

Oh Bumblebee, Oh Bumblebee,

Say your name for me… (2x)

Toddlers (2 Year Olds)

Welcome back! We hope Easter was a happy family time!
We are getting ready for our last term in Toddlers class, all of us will be toileting with minimal assistance as we are all turning three years old and feeling all grown up.
Academically we will continue to explore Spring as a theme. We will grow seeds and we will be experimenting with beans in order to look at roots and stems.
Spring will also be integrated in other subjects such as mathematical development, to help us count and make associations, this will also teach us positional concepts (under, on ...)
Art will be our main focus. It is now time to get everything on the go for our art exhibition coming up at the end of the year.
Don't forget to complete your smurf project!

Nursery News (3 Year Olds)

Welcome back! We hope you had a lovely Easter break. We have been working hard on our end of the year art display.

Colourful flowers, tall trees, a fantastic big house, crawly caterpillars, fast buses are some of our crafts…

We will be practising and revising counting, colours, shapes and tracing activities.

Reminders: Parents meeting on Wednesday 14th April. Sign up sheet on Nursery door.

Spring Poem

The days of Spring are here,
Warm, sunny days are near,
Flowers and bees, and birds in trees.
The days of spring are here.

Reception News (4 Year Olds)

During the next two weeks we are going to work on our reading skills, we are going to add and subtract and many more. In Knowledge of the World we will start with our new theme ‘music’. We are going to discover different instruments and different kinds of music.

Here´s a little song that we will learn during this theme.

The “Reception” Band

(Sung To: Round the Mulberry Bush)

The “Reception” band has come to town, come to town, come to town.
The “Reception” band has come to town so early in the morning.
This is the way we play the drums, play the drums, play the drums.
This is the way we play the drums so early in the morning.
The “Reception” band has gone away, gone away, gone away.
The “Reception” band has gone away so early in the morning

Note: Insert any musical instrument in place of the drums
