Dear Parents

Assessment week is over and now it’s time for Easter. This morning we had an Easter egg hunt. What a delight it was to go hunting for chocolate!!!

Reminder: Parents meeting will be held from the 12th April (Monday) till the 16th April (Friday). Please do not forget to sign in with your child’s Teacher or class Assistant. Please try to be available for this day. Thank you for your cooperation.

Lost and Found: A blue fleece jacket has gone missing from the Young Toddlers classroom, could you please have a look at home. Thank you.

Young Toddlers ( 1 Year Olds)

This week our main activity was making Easter presents with each toddler. Today our Young Toddlers turned into little Easter Bunnies, jumping around during P.E… They encountered several obstacles while holding chocolate eggs. The Easter bunny confirmed that we were on the list of lucky schools!!!

Our Parents Meeting will be held on Monday the 12th April.

Robbie the rabbit is fat, fat, fat (pat your belly)

His soft little paws go pat, pat, pat (tap one hand over the other)

His soft little ears go flop, flop, flop (arms over head, bend hands over and wave up and down)

And when Robbie runs he goes hop, hop, hop (hop 3 times)

Toddlers (2 Year Olds)

Assessment week was very helpful but too much work and our little ones were tired of working so hard, so this week before the Easter Holidays we are having a much more relaxing time and experiencing  spring through art. It has been great!!!

We would like to remind you of the following: We are still missing recipes, not all families have brought one in and we hope you are having fun with our “Smurf” project.

Newsflash: After the Easter holidays everyone will stop using nappies!!! Hurray!!!

Our Parents Meeting will be held on Tuesday the 13th April. Please sign

in, as from Tuesday the 6th April.

Nursery News (3 Year Olds)

Nursery class has worked hard all term and Assessment week went very well. The Easter bunny loved all our lovely Easter crafts…we were so busy decorating, painting, sticking etc… The egg hunt was sooo much fun, we found many eggs to take home!

Bunnies are brown
Bunnies are white
Bunnies are always
An Easter delight

Bunnies are cuddly
The large and the small.
But I like chocolate ones
The best of them all

Reminder:

Parents Meeting will be held on Wednesday the 14th.

Reception News (4 Year Olds)

We have finished assessment week well and are ready to begin our third and last term. This term is going to be fun: working on the art-project, Badoca Park and many more. After the Easter holidays we are going to start with a new theme in ‘Knowledge of the World’, namely art. We hope you already thought about your artwork for the exhibition. If you have questions, don’t hesitate to ask us! Have fun! Some of the topics we are going to learn and practice during the next weeks are; adding, subtracting, reading and writing words and sentence.

Don’t forget to practice the ‘High Frequency Words’ from time to time with your son/daughter. It will help during his/her reading process.

To finish a little rhyme we learnt in the classroom to practice ‘subtracting’:

Easter Eggs
Five little Easter eggs, lovely colours wore,
Mother ate the blue one, then there were four.

Four little Easter eggs, two and two you see,
Daddy ate the red one, then there were three.

Three little Easter eggs, before I knew,
Sister ate the yellow one, then there were two.

Two little Easter eggs, oh what fun,

Brother ate the purple one, then there was one.

One little Easter egg, see me run,
I ate the green one, then there were none.

Year 1 News (5 Year Olds)

Easter Poem

The little bunny is sick,

He thinks he has the flu.

He can’t get out of bed,

And there’s still so much to do!

He’s going to need some helpers,

But he’s not sure just who,

Would you know what to do…like…

 Doing all your school work,

 Wriggling your ears and nose,

 Eating all your carrots

  And hopping on your toes?

GUESS WHAT?

The little bunny is better,

He didn’t have the flu.

He just ate too many jelly beans,

And chocolate bunnies, too!

Reminder:

Parents meeting will be held on the 16th April (Friday).
