News of St. John's School
Dear Families,
St. John’s is organizing a creative “Christmas Lantern” contest and we would like to invite you all to participate. You can choose whether or not your family participates, but may we just remind you of the fact of how proud your son/daughter will be when their family Lantern gets displayed at school. It is also a really nice way to bring the family together for something ‘different’ and fun.
Contest instructions:
- Your Lantern needs to be completed and handed in by the 2nd December.
- Maximum length: 50 cm, Maximum width: 20 cm (three dimensional).
- Do not buy a lantern and decorate it afterwards. Make the lantern out of e.g. recyclable material, clay, buttons, wool, bottles, dry flowers, pasta or paper… anything you can think of. Be creative and don’t forget; sometimes the simpler the better!!
- Involve your children!
Later, families will get to vote for their favourite Lantern. The winning family will be announced during the Christmas Party on the 19th of December. We want to stress however that all participating families are winners just by participating!!
We are very excited to see the results and wish you a lot of creative ideas.
